RCB Recognition of Service – on TV Channel 9: A Current Affair at 7.00 pm Tuesday 20 December 2022

19 Dec 2022

The video of the first Hearing of the Defence Honours and Awards Tribunal and the Report of it by Charles Miranda has aroused the Australian public’s interest in this David and Goliath like struggle, now in its 17th year, of the RCB veterans challenge to Defence to have their service recognised as warlike: Defence say its peacetime service similar to service in Australia.

Channel 9’s A Current Affair has examined the claim and will be reporting tomorrow Tuesday 20th December at 7.00 pm (check that time in your States’ time zone).

After the screening it will be posted on the Channel 9’s website here and be shared on all RCB’s and other ESO’s social media networks. Channel 9 has ‘broken the ice’ for RCB by this national TV platform to expose the truth of their warlike deployment.

The RCB Review Group encourages ACA viewers to comment on the subject and the issues reported but asks you to be civil and courteous and recognise that the next DHAAT Hearing will be in early February 2023.

Comments can be sent to Channel 9, with a copy to RCB’s Phill Wolfenden for posting on the RCB’s facebook site, using any of these means:
