Superannuation Imbalance

18 Apr 2013

Ladies and gentlemen,

It is worth noting that the AVERAGE military superannuation pension, (payable after at least 20 years service to Australia) is currently $24,600 per year, indexed at CPI, which as we all know is a measure of inflation and NOT a true measure of todays cost of living. Politicians (pre 2004, of which all these are) can obtain their pensions after only three terms (9 years).  Their pensions are absolutely fully indexed to a backbenchers salary to maintain their standard of living in retirement.

AND THE GOVERNMENT BELIEVES OUR SUPERANNUATION IS “GENEROUS”. WHAT A MOB OF HYPOCRITES!
